So, without further ado, let's get cooking!


Borek

This Turkey Borek recipe combines thick phyllo dough and tangy feta cheese. These light, flaky pastries filled with spinach and feta will make you leave no crumbs on the plate!


Ingredients:

  • 1 package phyllo dough

  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped

  • 1/4 cup olive oil


Instructions:

  1. Layer phyllo with oil and fillings

  2. Fold into triangles and brush with oil

  3. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes

Fun Fact: Popular Turkish idioms mention borek. "Borek dökülmek" means to reveal secrets accidentally like filling spilling out.
