At Sunrise

I came here to see the sunrise

But you wouldn't let me

Holding my face staring to my eyes

In your beauty - I drowned

A moving impression, sunrise

As she parted her way through the clouds

You were Monet

Your shadows steady and proud

I tried to escape to her as she rose

And so she gave me her hand

polishing your face and cutting through it

I grabbed it and hold'n to it

My soul and body were no longer a unit

One hostage

And the other rescued

Until I was reminded

She never came

Never will

Forever - she stands still

And around her

me and you forever spin

It all felt unreal

In your beauty and her prestige

Again I drowned

O' god, Glory and grace to you
